Permanent Make-Up
For Centuries, Women Have Beautified Their Eyes
and Lips
Now modern science and cosmetology have merged to create
a technique for enhancing one's natural features. This process is called
Permanent Make-up
The process is done by the manual SofTap method.
SofTap is a registered trademark of SotTap Inc. and is recognized
as the leading technique in the field for safety and accuracy. We use
a set of fine in-line needles that are dipped into a pigment mixture
and then softly tapped into the skin thereby depositing color permanently
into the skin. Traditional methods of tattooing use a reciprocating
needle which pushed color into the skin. The SofTap method gently
lifts the skin to deposit color. As a result, there is a definite difference
in the amount of pain experienced by the client. Many clients who had
permanent make-up with the traditional tattoo machine can attest to
the fact that the SofTap method is far more gentle. Because it
is more gentle, the skin recovers faster. Clients have been known to
go out on the town immediately.
Eyebrows
Any woman who uses an eyebrow pencil will love having permanent make-up.
It will look better than her own make-up, and won't need to be applied
every day. If her brows are sparse, permanent make-up can save her 10
minutes each morning.
Eyeliner
Small amounts of pigmentation are applied at the base of the lash line,
making lashes look fuller. A solid line, small dots or a soft "smudge"
look can be achieved.
Lip Liner/Color
Lip liner corrects asymmetry and adds definition and fullness. It can
reshape your lips. The line can be applied lightly for a very natural
look or more heavily for a dramatic look, depending on the client's
wishes.
Questions and Answers
Is Permanent Make-up Safe?
Yes, the SofTap technique is very safe! With each procedure, fresh
pigments are used which contain safe inorganic ingredients. Only disposable
probes, brushes and spatulas are used.
How deep is the pigment deposited into the skin?
The pigment is placed about one millimeter underneath the epidermis
into the dermis layer of the skin.
Suppose eyebrow styles change?
Your eyebrow shape will be based on your own preferences in combination
with the technician's suggestions for a classic shape that will never
go out of style.
What happens when I'm not wearing any lipstick?
The line is done in soft, natural shades that make the lips look more
full and blend with your lip tissue.
What if eyeliner goes out of style?
It is extremely difficult to find a culture or period of history where
eyelashes were not coveted. With this procedure we simply enhance the
natural lash line for a fuller, more beautiful, natural look.
What about women troubled by allergies?
Many women love permanent make-up because it replaces the topical cosmetics
they are allergic to. Contact lens wearers especially love not having
to worry about make-up becoming lodged under their lenses.
What is the healing period like?
Depending on the person, a light crust will form after a few days. This
will fall off in four or five days. During this time the pigmented area
will look a little darker than the final color. After the crust falls
off it should lighten to the color you want.
How soon afterward can I go out?
Immediately. For the first few days you will look like you are wearing
your make-up heavier than usual. Sometimes the crusting is slightly
visible, but usually not enough to be obvious.
Is it advisable to have a consultation before the procedure?
Definitely. This will allow the permanent make-up technician to see
what your preferences are. We will then make suggestions to help you
perfect your look before the procedure is performed.
Is it painful?
A topical anesthetic is used during the procedure. The SofTap
method is the most gentle technique used in the field of permanent make-up.
